Timanfaya Evening Tour

The Timanfaya evening tour: the park after the day visitors leave, the volcano route and demonstrations, a three-course dinner with drinks and live music at sunset, about 5 hours with pickup (Oct 2026).

Updated October 2026

The Timanfaya evening tour enters the national park once the day visitors have gone, runs the volcano route and the heat demonstrations, then serves a three-course dinner cooked over the heat of the volcano, with drinks and live music, as the sun goes down. It is MTS Incoming’s tour, about five hours with pickup from the main resorts, rated 4.5 from 345 reviews and from US$149 a person (checked October 2026).

What the evening holds

Map of southern Lanzarote with Timanfaya National Park shaded, Islote de Hilario inside it, the Echadero de los Camellos at its southern edge, the Mancha Blanca visitor centre to the north-east, Yaiza and Uga to the south, El Golfo on the west coast, and Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen on the south coast
The evening tour collects from the resorts on the south and east coasts and drives north into the park.
  • Pickup from your resort; the coach takes about 75 minutes each way, from 37 pickup points across Playa Blanca, Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and the south coast.
  • The park, emptying. The ordinary visit’s last entry is 15:45, so the evening tour has the volcano route and Islote de Hilario largely to itself, with an official guide in English, Spanish, German or French.
  • The demonstrations of the ground’s heat, as on the day visit.
  • Dinner at shared tables of up to 8, three courses cooked over the volcano’s heat, with wine, water or soft drinks and live music, as the sun sets.

Vegetarian and children’s menus are available if you ask at least 48 hours ahead. Bring warm clothing for after dark, comfortable shoes and sun protection for the first part of the evening.

Who should not book it

The tour is listed as not suitable for pregnant women, people with heart problems or respiratory problems, and wheelchair users. If an evening out is not the point, the day tours cost about half as much.
